Proper Old Fashioned Rock by Charles Butler @charlesbutlerconfec
I challenge you to find a more quintessential British Seaside business! In 2016 the Charles Butler brand was re-launched with new packaging by Maxons. The brand was the original part of the company dating back to 1848 but the brand had died away in the 1960s. After finding original price lists, recipes and marketing information including letters in the family archives the brand was brought back to life in 2016.

Alice, the founder of Melt Me Real Good, a Scotland based home fragrance business, created her classic range of fragrances which captures her love and passion for where she lives. They have been formed out of fond memories of childhood adventures, her honeymoon and now a place that she calls home. These room fragrance sprays are from her coastal collection made from a simple and fuss free blend of fragrance oils and non hazardous base oil.
Nautical Tea Towel by Victoria Eggs @victoriaeggs
Victoria wanted to capture special moments, such as the unmistakable smell of fish and chips at the seaside, in the form of gifts, screen printing the first designs onto tea towels and selling them at Spitalfields Market. She now works with manufacturers and family run businesses throughout the UK to produce her heartfelt gifts. Victoria is passionate about sustainability and supporting her local community and that is just the icing on the cake!
Fair trade Pebble Soap by Hana Blossom @hanablossomcandles
Hana Blossom designs are inspired by nature. They are designed in London and individually hand crafted by local artisan co-operatives in Thailand. Every piece is unique with its own character, yet vegan and cruelty free. I know these are wrapped in plastic, however it's served the purpose for transporting them to the UK and I wanted to highlight the incredible work of co-operatives around the world ensuring that locals are paid fairly for their gorgeous creations!
