For February we have partnered with an amazing charity, Happy Endings Rescue who were nominated via our Facebook page!

Happy Endings Rescue is an animal charity located in a peaceful rural setting near Faversham, Kent. They offer a safe haven for animals that pass into their care as a result of abandonment, neglect, owner surrender or abuse.
Their story began on a forty-acre grazing plot in Sevenoaks, Kent in 2007 when the founders Terry Kemp and Chris Johns – animal lovers looking after cats, dogs, horses and a flock of sheep – realised that existing rescue organisations across the country were insufficient to cope with the hundreds of animals that are being found neglected and abandoned every day.

In 2011 Happy Endings had the opportunity to relocate to a ten-acre site near Faversham, when Chris and Terry bought Butterstone Pet Boarding. With the support of a growing dedicated team they have created and built up a reputation as an extraordinary animal sanctuary – a place much loved by the owners, the workforce and all who visit.
They rescue and rehome domestic pets as well as providing a long-term home to the many animals and birds that live on site, including parrots, owls, farm animals, horses, goats, peacocks, meerkats and other species. They have a home with them for as long as they need it. Every animal in their care will live with them until they find their forever home.

Their facilities are constantly evolving to provide the necessary accommodation and supervision for the increasing number of animals that pass into their care every week, many of whom have been rescued from unhappy, cruel and neglected pasts. Terry and Chris live on site and with the help of a dedicated team are able to offer a safe, happy refuge for these animals every day.
